Marc Smith, the visionary behind the innovative "connector" app Glance!, is changing the way people meet in person. Inspired by his own experiences with the fear of public rejection, Marc developed Glance! as a solution to those missed opportunities when someone attractive catches your eye, but nerves get in the way.
"I used to freeze up whenever I wanted to approach someone in public," Marc shares. "The fear of rejection, especially in a world where everything can be recorded on camera, was overwhelming. I kept thinking there must be a way to discreetly find out if someone is even interested."
Enter Glance! The app allows users to send anonymous pings to others within 50 feet. If the ping is reciprocated, both are placed in a 15-minute chat, opening the door to a real-world interaction. This creative approach reduces the anxiety of face-to-face encounters while making in-person connections more accessible.
